I’ve been looking through the photos I took during my two trips to New York City last year. Almost all my pictures are of street scenes and the people who fill that city’s sidewalks. NYC certainly is the epitome of America being a nation of immigrants and the proof cannot be ignored. NYC has a face and it is not the face of those who trace their ancestry back to Western Europe.
Rather than write about it I decided to put together a small selection of photos I took at the bottom of Manhattan where so many of our ancestors first came ashore.
Here’s a brief video I took while sitting in a pizza shop across from NYC’s Union Square. A slice of NYC while enjoying a slice.
