Headlines everywhere are saying America has a glut of gasoline at the moment. Supply far exceeds demand. Seeing all the burnt lawns in Greenfield this evening made me think that on of the reasons may be, none of us have to buy gas for our lawnmowers this summer.
After making a Trip to my home town of Greenfield OH. over the forth of July. I was surprise how much the difference’s in price of a gallon of gas was from state to state. The cheapest was South Carolina and the highest was a toss up from Ohio and Tennessee. Here is the latest price of South Carolina gas per gallon of $2.65 if you buy from Sam’s Club in Greenville SC to $3.42 per gallon in Greenfield Ohio. But to be fair I see you can buy gas for $3.10 in Lima Ohio. This is one of many disadvantages of living in a small town. I am glad that South Carolina doesn’t tax their gas as high as some states do.
