“The Edward Lee McClain Alumni Association is pleased to announce the very first induction to the Hall of Fame. Dr. Stephen Dane Iseman will be inducted on April 24 at the annual Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony.
The ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. in the McClain High School Cafetorium.
The Edward Lee McClain High School Hall of Fame is a place of honor for graduates who have excelled academically, athletically and/or professionally while serving as role models for students of all ages.
Dr. Stephen Dane Iseman, is a 1966 graduate of McClain High School and exemplifies the highest standards of education, and is truly someone that all students and graduates of McClain can aspire to emulate.
Following his 1966 graduation from Edward Lee McClain High School, Dr. Iseman attended Ohio University, receiving a bachelor of fine arts degree. He then furthered his education by earning a master’s of education from Xavier University and doctor of philosophy from the Ohio State University.
Dr. Iseman began his career in public relations at Wilmington College following his graduation from Ohio University. He later returned to Greenfield, Ohio to assist in the family business, Greenfield Grain & Hay. During this time, Dr. Iseman determined that his real love was public relations and he then set out on a career in PR that would include Ohio Dominican College, the Ohio State University and most recently Ohio Northern University.
During his career, Dr. Iseman has received many accolades and awards ranging from a 2004 Excellence in Education from Ohio Magazine to the 2009 Outstanding Educator Award, bestowed on him from PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) and most recently the Dr. F.H. Teahan Chapter Award for Outstanding Faculty Adviser in 2011 at the PRSSA National Conference.
The Edward Lee McClain High School Alumni Association is proud to honor Dr. Iseman for his accomplishments, dedication and excellence in education by making him the inaugural inductee into the Hall of Fame.”
